Yes, there are people on the front of that raft. Dennis Poppinga of Evanston, Wyo., sent in this picture of his family going through the infamous Lunch Counter Rapid on the Snake River near Jackson Hole in late June 2008. "We hit the third of five huge rapids right on the money. My 8-year-old grandson Jaxon Walton and his dad Marc Walton where in the front of the raft and underwater as we hit the rapid that stood my raft nearly straight up," he wrote.
