A 19-year-old man was killed and four other people were injured in a single-car rollover late Wednesday night in Morgan County, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.

At 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, the 2008 Mazda was southbound on State Road 167, known as Trappers Loop, when it rolled.

There were five occupants in the car.

Two people were ejected — the man who died and the 20-year-old male driver. Both were transported from the scene via helicopter.

Notification of 19-year-old man's next of kin was pending.

The driver was in extremely critical condition at McKay Dee Hospital on Thursday, according to UHP.

Three other passengers were transported by ambulance with minor injuries.

Excessive speed was a factor in the crash, as well as no seatbelt use, UHP said.

Trappers Loop — an 11-mile stretch of road that connects Weber Canyon at Interstate 84 in Mountain Green with the Ogden Valley near Huntsville — was closed from midnight to 4 a.m. on Thursday, while the crash was being investigated.
