Master violin maker John Young will teach the science and math (some would say magic) of building a viola Sunday, March 11, at The Leonardo museum of science, technology and art.

Using a compass and a ruler, draw a viola following the technique of 17th century violin builder Andrea Guarneri — an ancient process that has never been surpassed. Students will need to bring a large compass with an extender and a ruler. The class begins at noon and you can get more info here: http://bit.ly/xPXspi
