Today's Sundance "trailer of the day" is about a mother, a son and a hawk.

"Aloft" stars Jennifer Connelly as Nana, a renowned healer who, 20 years earlier, abandoned her son. Now a young artist (Mélanie Laurent) has tracked down that son (Cillian Murphy), and an emotional reunion is set in motion.

Peruvian-born writer-director Claudia Llosa brought her debut film, "Madeinusa," to Sundance in 2006. Her 2009 drama "The Milk of Sorrow" received an Oscar nomination for foreign-language film.

"Alone" screens in the Spotlight section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
