A 78-year-old South Salt Lake man missing since Tuesday was found dead Friday in Tooele County.

Darwin Allred was found inside his pickup truck at about 1 p.m. Friday near Interstate 80 about 40 miles west of Salt Lake City by a salt company employee.

South Salt Lake police said there was no sign of foul play. The cause of death is being investigated by the Tooele County Sheriff's Office.

Police had said that Allred suffered from dementia and recently had spoken about returning to his home in Price.
