It doesn't look like I'm headed for San Angelo for trial coverage anytime soon.

Texas prosecutors officially dismissed the bigamy charge filed against Warren Jeffs, considering that his appeals are exhausted and he's set to be a centenarian before he has even a shot at parole.

The single bigamy count was filed in connection with his polygamous marriage to a 12-year-old girl, one of two young girls he was convicted of sexually assaulting during his July-August 2011 trial.

They were two of 78 women Jeffs married, according to evidence presented by prosecutors (and there could even be more). Read the story on the dismissal here, and if you're interested in a look back, check out the trial coverage here.
