The Salt Lake Tribune is inviting readers to a launch party for the new book "Mormon Rivals: The Romneys, the Huntsmans and the Pursuit of Power."

Tribune reporters Matt Canham and Thomas Burr have chronicled how presidential politics turned these two well-known families from allies to adversaries. They also explore what the Romney and Huntsman campaigns say about voter acceptance of LDS candidates.

"Mormon Rivals" will be released broadly in bookstores and through online retailers June 2.

In anticipation, the newspaper is hosting a May 28 event from 6 to 8 p.m. at downtown Salt Lake City's Alta Club, 100 E. South Temple, where attendees will receive a copy of the book, enjoy some appetizers and chat with the authors.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at MormonRivals.com.
