Five-star basketball recruit Caleb Swanigan decided to stay in the Hoosier state.

Less than a week after informing The Tribune he was returning to his home state of Utah, Swanigan, a 6-foot-8, 275-pound center decided to stay in Fort Wayne, Ind., The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reported.

The Journal Gazette reported that Swanigan's guardian, Roosevelt Barnes, confirmed that the No. 18 ranked sophomore in ESPN's top 25 Class of 2016 would be staying at Homestead High School.

Swanigan told The Tribune last week that he'd be attending East High School upon his return to Utah, but that quickly changed.

The Journal Gazette reported that Homestead coach Chris Johnson said that Swanigan was at an open gym at the Fort Wayne high school Monday.

Swanigan holds scholarship offers from Georgetown, Michigan State, Tennessee and Ilinois. —
