There is some research showing that skin-on-skin contact can reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve sleep, but many participants at so-called cuddle parties say they go for the emotional benefits.

On Monday at 12:15 p.m., Cuddle Party facilitator Rick Priddis and Tribune reporter Amy McDonald join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about cuddling strangers and why so many Utahns are embracing the trend.
