We should thank the Utah Association of Counties for showing us exactly what they would do with Utah lands should they successfully wrest it away from the Feds ("ATV protest organizer honored as commissioner of the year," Oct. 10, 2015). Does anyone need more evidence that our public lands are safer when kept out of the hands of our local elected supporters of illegal damage to sensitive historical areas?
