$17.50 per glass • Passion Red Anniversary Wine

Log Haven will mark its 21st anniversary this week, with the release of its first special-label wine called Passion Red. Restaurant owners commissioned Winemaker Richard Longoria, of California's Longoria Wines, to create a proprietary blend of Santa Barbara County-sourced grapes. The wine is a blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, syrah, and merlot. Full-bodied but accessible, it is described as a versatile wine for food, but should go particularly well with Log Haven's bacon-wrapped venison with huckleberry gastrique. The wine will be available Nov. 1 at the restaurant and will cost $17.50 by the glass and $78 by the bottle.

Log Haven • 6451 Millcreek Canyon Road, Salt Lake City; 801-272-8255. Open daily from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
