No good deed goes unpunished.

The Salt Lake City Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a woman suspected of stealing a car from a man who had given her a ride on Sunday.

While the man ducked inside a 7-Eleven at 1285 N. Redwood Road to use the restroom, his passenger drove off with his black 2000 Nissan Xterra, Utah license plate D236KD, the department said in a press release.

The woman is described as between 30 and 40 years old, white, with a heavy build.

Police have asked anyone with information about the crime to call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by texting the keyword TIPSLCPD plus any relevant information to 274637. Reference: case #14-120987.
