While the departure of BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall stole headlines Friday evening, Utah quietly added to its 2016 class with a player from the 4A state champion down the street, East offensive lineman Johnny Maea.

At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds or thereabouts, Maea is rated a three-star prospect by both Rivals and Scout.
