Fire destroys Salt Lake City garage and minivan inside it

A fire on Monday afternoon destroyed a detached garage and the minivan inside, Salt Lake City fire officials said.

Fire crews responded to the scene, at 1630 W. 500 South, at about at about 3:30 p.m.

The fire also caused damage to a motorhome next to the garage, but flames did not reach the house, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators were on scene and working to determine the cause of the fire.
