St. George • A St. George woman who wore a colander for her driver license photo will serve house arrest for a DUI charge.

The Spectrum newspaper reports that 42-year-old Jessica Steinhauser pleaded no contest Thursday in exchange for avoiding jail time. Steinhauser used to act in pornographic movies under the name Asia Carrera.

Police say Steinhauser took her daughter to the Washington County School District's offices on March 5 and officials say she seemed intoxicated and passed out on a couch.

Defense attorney Douglas Terry says Steinhauser's daughter is a special-needs child and that Steinhauser has been proactive and getting counseling.

Steinhauser garnered attention in September 2014 when she posed for her driver license photo with a pasta strainer on her head.

An atheist, Steinhauser said at the time she was part of the satirical Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
