Elk Ridge • Lewis Feild, a Salt Lake City native and five-time world rodeo champion, died of pancreatic cancer on Monday. He was 59.

Field won his first world all-around title in 1985. He won two more all-around championships and two bareback titles on his way to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 1992.

Feild attended Utah Valley State College, where he later served as rodeo coach. His son, Kaycee, is a record-setting four-time world bareback champion.

On Facebook, Kaycee Field said, "Please know that the entire Feild family is blessed by all the kind words and prayers being passed along. Stay strong everyone and God bless you all."
