University of Utah student Nathaniel Coleman recently won two national titles.
The 19-year-old athlete based at Salt Lake City's Momentum Indoor Climbing won USA Climbing's Bouldering Open National and Youth Bouldering Open National and the Youth Bouldering National Champion titles in competition at Madison, Wisc.
He defeated nine-time national champion Daniel Woods in the Bouldering Open National.
Coleman was also honored with The North Face's 2016 Young Gun Award, which recognizes up-and-coming climbers who represent the values of the climbing community, competitive climbing achievements, commitment to the sport and exemplary sportsmanlike conduct.
Coleman joined Team Momentum as an original member in 2008. Last year, he finished fourth in the IFSC bouldering World Cup standings. He was a gold medal winner in the USA Climbing Youth Bouldering Nationals in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
