A mild, breezy weekend is ahead for Utah, with the late-week winds and snow a memory under sunny-to-partly-cloudy skies.

High temperatures in the Salt Lake and Tooele valleys on Saturday will be around 50 degrees, a few degrees cooler than Friday's forecast. Overnight lows will be around 30.

However, if you drive south a few hours, you will be able to shed the coats and even the sweaters when you reach Utah's Dixie and the Zion National Park areas. Saturday's highs in southern Utah will be in the mid- to upper-60s on Saturday, same as the region's sunny Friday forecast. Overnight lows will be in the low-40s.

A welcome vestige of Thursday's blustery, wet weather will be clean air. The Utah Division of Air Quality issued "green," or healthy air quality grades for the entire state through the weekend.

As of Friday, the Utah Avalanche Center rated the risk for potentially deadly backcountry snowslides at "considerable" for the mountains above Logan and Ogden, while the remainder of the state was "moderate" for avalanche danger.
