A West Valley City man died Friday night in a head-on crash in South Jordan.

At about 8:15 p.m., a 17-year-old girl was driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound on 9800 South when she drifted into oncoming traffic, crashing into a Ford Thunderbird near 3700 West, said South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington.

Brent Williams, the 56-year-old man who was driving the Thunderbird, died at a hospital. His wife and five people in the 4Runner went to a hospital with either minor injuries or as a precaution, Pennington said.

Police are still investigating the crash.
