The Bear River Bird Refuge will celebrate Utah's Tundra Swan Day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will be coordinated with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

A camera with a telephoto lens will be available for visitors taking the 12-mile auto tour loop to shoot photos of wildlife on the refuge. Wasatch Audubon will be setting up scopes to help visitors identify different birds.

There will be free family-friendly films, crafts and games throughout the day at the Wildlife Education Center at 2155 W. Forest Street in Brigham City, one block west of Interstate 15 at Exit 363.

Some events require preregistration.

Guided refuge tours will be led at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. To register, call 435-723-5887.

Photographer Jeff Strong is offering a free nature photography indoor/outdoor workshop at 10 a.m. He will teach participants how to capture rare moments through photography. Sitting is limited. To sign up for the class, call 435-734-6426.
