Over the Easter weekend, someone spray-painted racist and anti-religious graffiti at the construction site of an LDS temple in Meridian, Idaho, according to the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

Sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday, at least one person broke into a construction zone on the 700 North block of Linder Road.

Using black spray paint, the vandal or vandals covered walls with graffiti, including "racist symbols and anti-religious messages," according to a sheriff's office blog post.

"The vandals also emptied tubes of construction adhesive on the walls and floors of the building, causing at least $500 worth of damage," the post reads.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call Detective Justin Elliot at 208-577-3702.

The vandalism isn't the first crime the construction site has suffered. Since last year, there have been reports of theft, including the thefts of a welding unit and an industrial saw, according to the sheriff's office.
