Utah Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a drive-by shooting in Salt Lake County.

On Saturday morning, a man was driving a semi-truck hauling cars on south Interstate 15. After the semi entered the freeway from 3300 South, a green Ford Expedition pulled up next to it, said UHP spokesman Cameron Roden.

About 11:45 a.m., someone in the Expedition fired a round at the driver's door, which stopped the bullet, Roden said. The Expedition then left the freeway at 7200 South, he added.

Troopers are still looking for the Expedition.
