There haven't been many Utahns on "The Voice" recently, but one of the champions of the NBC talent show is coming to Utah soon.
Sawyer Fredericks, who was declared the winner of Season 8 of "The Voice" a year ago, is scheduled to perform at The Post Theater at the University of Utah on Thursday, May 12.
During his time on the show, the 17-year old — just 16 when he won on "The Voice" — became the first artist to land 14 songs on the iTunes Overall Top 200 Songs Chart in one week. He is traveling in support of his self-titled EP, which peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard Chart.
