Amour Cafe opened recently as a showcase for the award-winning jams and marmalades made by Utah's Amour Spreads.

To create this casual cafe near Salt Lake City's Liberty Park, owners Casee and John Francis — who have been making and selling gourmet jams since 2011 — joined with Utah pastry chef Amber Billingsley, formerly of 3 Cups in Holladay.

The cafe offers a rustic European menu that includes coffee and tea, house-made pastries and gelato, and toast made with bread from Eva's Bakery. The toast can be enjoyed with butter and Amour jams. Guests also can add steamed eggs from Clifford Family Farm in Provo, prosciutto or salmon.

Other menu items to try include the brownies made with Utah's Solstice chocolate, the gluten-free Venetian almond cake, house-made sodas flavored with Amour jams, and a traditional Italian affogato dessert made with gelato and a shot of espresso.

Celebrate the grand opening on July 4 with $1 off gelato and sorbetto.
