It's been a good week for Salt Lake Bees starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs.

The Pacific Coast League on Monday named Skaggs its Pitcher of the Week for July 11-17, the first Bee honored since Caleb Clay in 2014.

On Thursday, Skaggs threw a franchise record-tying 14 strikeouts against the Omaha Storm Chasers in a 2-0 win. Jered Weaver set the original record against Sacramento in 2006.

In his minor league career, Skaggs has made to MLB Futures Games (2011-2012), three Mid-Season All-Star teams (2010-12) and been named a MiLB.com Organizational All-Star (2011-12) twice.
