After cooler, fall-like weather throughout the week, temperatures are on the rise for Utah's last weekend of the summer.

Conditions in the Salt Lake area will remain about the same Saturday through Monday with sunny, mostly clear skies, though temperatures will top off in the upper 70s Saturday, the mid-80s Sunday and about 90 Monday. Lows Saturday will drop into the upper 50s, while venturing into the low 60s Sunday and Monday.

Southern Utah residents should anticipate sunny, clear skies during the weekend, with clouds Monday afternoon bringing a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the night. Highs Saturday should be about 90 degrees, but will rise into the mid-90s both Sunday and Monday. Minimum temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid-60s.

Air quality levels are rated "green," or good, throughout the majority of the state on Saturday, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality, with only Utah and Washington counties diverging into the "yellow," or moderate category.
