Sid the Science Kid investigated Discovery Gateway on Friday, and his experiments there will continue into January.

The popular children's-show character will be part of "Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit" at the interactive museum, 444 W. 100 South, through Jan. 16, according to the Gateway Discovery website.

"Through fun, hands-on activities," the site says, "kids will use scientific tools and thinking to learn about simple machines, the laws of motion, magnetism, air power and the five senses."

The exhibit is free with purchase of admission to the museum, which is open Mondays-Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
