The West Valley City Police Department on Tuesday acknowledged that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a program that included filling the lobby of West Valley City Hall with red silhouette cut-outs representing community victims of domestic violence. Of the 1.5 million women in Utah, one in three will experience domestic violence abuse, according to the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition.
