Logan • Senior point guard Shane Rector scored 16 points and sophomore forward Quinn Taylor contributed 12 points on Wednesday night, leading Utah State to a 96-53 exhibition victory over Bristol at the Spectrum.

The Aggies trailed 6-3 in the opening minutes before scoring 13 consecutive points. Freshman guard Koby McEwen scored five and Rector added four during the run.

By halftime, Rector had scored 10 points and Utah State built a 52-29 lead after out-rebounding the Bears, 26-9.

Rector scored six consecutive points during a 15-0 run the Aggies went on during the second half that extended their lead to 69-35.

Michael Crosby came off the bench to score a team-high 16 points and pull down five rebounds for Bristol.

Utah State returns to regular-season play on Saturday night against Idaho State.

The Aggies will be looking for their third consecutive victory after starting the season with wins over UC Irvine (72-56) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (93-84).
