A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by two cars Friday morning on Interstate 15 in Murray.

A woman "ran into traffic" about 6:45 a.m. near 4500 South and was "clipped" by a northbound pickup, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce. The woman then was hit by another car. Investigators did not yet know the age of the woman or why she was running on the highway, Royce said.

Two northbound lanes of I-15 were closed at the scene of the crash; significant delays were expected, Royce said.

The Tribune will provide further details as they become available.
