MANUEL GENSWEIN the Swiss developer of the new Long Range Helicopter-based Receiver used to track and locate buried avalanche victims, explains the workings of the receiver during a demonstration at Wasatch Powderbird's helipad in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Thursday. The new heli-based triple antenna system, which is a first in the United States, has a range of about 160 yards and can be used to quickly search an avalanche site for victims.
