Posted: 8:48 AM- Salt Lake City police recovered 111 balloons of cocaine and heroin Thursday during a routine traffic stop.
Officers pulled over the suspect around 11 a.m. near 280 West and 1300 South and found he didn't have a drivers license. They impounded the vehicle and during a search discovered the concealed balloons, according to police spokesman Joe Cyr.
The 28-year-old driver, who gave police Mexican identification, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, driving without a license and the traffic violation, Cyr said.
