Posted: 3:35 PM- Real Salt Lake has acquired teenage all-star sensation Freddy Adu in a trade with D.C. United, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.

An announcement is planned for later today, and Adu is expected to fly into Salt Lake City tonight before a Tuesday press conference.

RSL traded a player allocation and backup goalkeeper Jay Nolly to D.C. United for Adu and backup goalkeeper Nick Rimando. The 17-year-old Adu is one of the most heralded young players in American soccer history, and scored twice for D.C. this past season - his second in the league - while starting 29 of 32 games.
