A look at four standout performers and three key numbers from Friday's Day 1 of the Class 3A state swimming meet at BYU.

Cole Peterson

The Park City junior churned his way to victory in the 200 individual medley state title to help the Miners grab a 42.5-point lead in the team standings at the end of Day 1.

Ryan Bunn

The Hurricane sophomore took first in the 200 freestyle by jumping out to an early lead then holding off a charge by Park City's Alex Yokubison. Bunn touched the wall in 1 minute, 45.62 seconds, 0.09 seconds ahead of Yokubison.

Elise Beller

It took something special to the Park City sophomore to win the 200 freestyle title. She clipped a full 5 seconds off her preliminary time to knock off top-seeded Abby Whittington a Juan Diego sophomore. Beller finished in 1:57.11, while Whittingham earned silver in 2:00.63.

Rozie Selznick

The Park City senior pushed her career championship count to a dozen — six individual wins, six in relays — by anchoring the victorious 200 medley relay and grabbing first in the 50 freestyle.
