Jay Payton drove home the game-winning run with a single in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox edged the Salt Lake Bees 10-9 in a Pacific Coast League game Sunday.

The loss was the 10th in 12 games for the Bees (67-69).

Three walks issued by Salt Lake reliever Ysmael Carmona (0-1) loaded the bases with one out in the ninth. Carmona struck out Cole Garner, but heaved a wild pitch on his first delivery to Payton to bring home the tying run. With a count of 3-2, Payton grounded a single to center to bring home the deciding run.

All nine starters had hits for the Bees, and seven players had two hits. Mark Trumbo led with two hits, including his 31st home run of the season, a three-run shot in the first inning. Kevin Frandsen added a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Voyagers 9, Raptors 5 • In Great Falls, Idaho, the host Voyagers scored five runs on five hits in 3 1⁄3 innings off Ogden starter Arismendy Ozoria en route to the Pioneer League victory.

Owlz 9, Mustangs 1 • In Billings, Mont., Jake Rife went 3-for-4 with two RBIs as the Owlz beat the host Mustangs in a seven-inning game.
