Utah House Rep. Norm Thurston, R-Provo, sports a new tie every day of the legislative session. Legislative day 43's tie is covered in a patriotic version of the Republican elephant. Thurston estimates that he has close to 70 ties.

"I believe that removing letter grades from school grading is the way to go," said Hall, who has Granger High School in his district. Hall said students at Granger High School speak some 35 different languages as many of them are refugees.

After the Utah House legislators ended the day, the House interns took to the rotunda for a workout. Intern Ashley Edwards pretended to bark orders through a megaphone while Aundrea Peterson filmed the crew with her camera. The sweat was all in fun for the annual House intern video shown every year on the last day of the legislative session.
