Two men were injured when their car went off a 100-foot embankment Sunday in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
The car was traveling down Little Cottonwood Canyon Road about 5:45 p.m. when the driver lost control and left the road above Tanner Flat campground, said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Brad Taylor. Vegetation stopped the car about 100 feet below the road, Taylor said.
One of the men suffered serious injuries to his arm, which had lost most of its skin in the crash, Taylor said. The other man was walking when responders arrived, but his condition quickly deteriorated, Taylor said. Both men were taken to hospitals.
Investigators do not know why the driver lost control of the car, Taylor said.
