$3.89-$5.09 • The Dot, a nitro — as in liquid nitrogen — creamery, is now open in the Oakmont Plaza in Holladay.

Ordering is easy: Choose a size, a base (premium, custard, low-fat, frozen yogurt or soy), an ice cream flavor and a "mix-in" (two or more are 50 cents each).

With the help of a powerful standing mixer and the addition of liquid nitrogen, each liquid order is turned into a chewy, frozen mass with a taste that's out of this world.

The creamery also sells house-made granola, shaved ice, pastries, coffee drinks and light breakfast items.

The Dot is at 4036 S. 2700 East, Holladay; 801-998-8613. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
