For each of the The Tribune's volleyball Most Valuable Players for 2010, success has been a familiar tune.

In their high school careers, all have won state titles, region championships and/or have been previously named MVP.

Such dominance did not come without hard work, personal growth, teamwork and determination.

Each of the four outside hitters and one setter was selected as MVP because she boosted her team to a successful season, displayed elite athleticism and possessed unquestioned leadership abilities.

Volleyball highlights

• Pleasant Grove and Lone Peak have played for the past three 5A state championships. Lone Peak finished on top this season.

• Kalani Norris, of Panguitch, broke both the career and season kill records, leading the Bobcats to their second straight title and a perfect 34-0 season.

• Snow Canyon has now won five straight titles, beating Dixie in the past four of them.

• After winning five straight titles from 2003-2007 but missing out in 2008-09, the San Juan Broncos finally got back on top with a four-game win over Enterprise in the finals.

• Morgan dominated the 3A field, going 24-2, losing only to two teams from California en route to a championship.
