Tuesday night's win over Idaho State was a welcome sight for Brian Green fans.
His jump shot came back. Not that it was really ever gone. But until Tuesday night, it wasn't the deadly heat seeking missle that it was last season.
Teams have clearly scouted Green and he's clearly a marked man heading into this year. He had a great stretch against BYU, but there have been times where garnering open looks have been difficult. And times where even when that open look came, the shot wouldn't go down.
The win over Idaho State represented the best of both worlds for Green. He found himself wide open coming off screens. And he put the shots in the hoop. His shooting was the biggest reason for the Aggies being able to open up a huge first half advantage.
And his shooting will be essential to Utah State as the season goes on. He's the only consistent perimeter threat on the team. Pooh Williams, Brockeith Pane and Tyler Newbold are all spotty at best. So the Aggies need Green to be consistently good.
