A Payson man was killed Saturday when a powered parachute he was piloting crashed, police say.
Bradley Ford, 29, was flying to look for deer and elk antlers in the Henry Mountains, said Becki Bronson, a spokeswoman for the Garfield County Sheriff's Office. About 6 p.m., Ford's aircraft got caught in a crosswind and nose-dived into a ravine, Bronson said.
He was flown to a hospital in Page, Ariz., where he died.
Bronson said the man had only recently received a license to fly the two-seat aircraft.
