Center Kemoeatu signs with Utah

FOOTBALL • One of Utah's longest recruiting efforts apparently has paid off as Benji Kemoeatu, the brother of former Utes and current NFL players Chris and Ma'ake Kemoeatu, finally signed a national letter of intent.

He plans to join the team in the summer after he completes his academic work. The 6-foot-5, 350-pound offensive lineman out of Kahuku, Hawaii, originally signed with West Virginia but failed to qualify academically. One of the top-rated centers as a high school player, Kemoeatu played for Lackawanna Community College in 2009.
