Kaysville • Police responding to a report of shots fired at a Main Street motel Saturday night said they found a body.

Detective Dave Pollard of Kaysville Police said officers responded to the 410 N. Main St. motel at about 7:45 p.m. He did not say if the body found was that of an adult male or whether it showed obvious signs of trauma.

Pollard said police set up a containment perimeter and were searching for a person of interest believed to be from the area. Pollard identified him as Joseph Nance.

"Right now we have to expect he possibly could be armed," Pollard said. "We feel like we've done a really good job of containment. Hopefully we find him."

The Salt Lake Tribune will report further details as they come available.
