Ryan Lowder, the chef/owner of The Copper Onion in Salt Lake City, is opening a wine bar.

Lowder said Tuesday he will take over the spot where Sicilia Pizza has been at 221 E. 300 South — that's about one block east of the Copper Onion.

Remodeling will start around the first of June.

Lowder said he is still trying to decide on the wine bar menu. Right now he's thinking gourmet cheeses and some sort of grilled breads as small plate possibilities.
