Herriman city officials have announced several meetings to discuss the possibility of converting the City Council from an at-large format to one representing districts. Residents may download maps at herriman.org and design their own districts. Those maps must be submitted to city recorder Kristi Peterson by June 10. The council will vote on the issue at a special meeting June 16. Meetings are as follows:

Today • Formal presentation of districting proposal to City Council, City Hall

May 31 • Open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J.L. Sorenson Recreation Center

June 2 • Open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J.L. Sorenson Recreation Center

June 7 • Open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at the new fire station

June 16 • Ordinance considered by the City Council, 7:30 p.m. at City Hall
