It promises to be turned into paradise, however, when water from the Colorado River is diverted over it. Art Wells, test pilot for the Ogden Air Service Command, directs refueling of the famed 'Suzy Q' queen of the South Pacific skies, just before she was turned over to the Second Air Force after having been completely reconditioned in the Hill Field shops of the Ogden Air Service Command. The four-engine bomber, commonly known as the "Flying Fortress," is credited with more than 50 missions and 26 Japanese planes. Official photo U.S. Army Air Forces."
