Each week, the TribPreps staff will choose standout performers and key numbers from the previous week's action in Utah and showcase them. Here are this week's picks.

Paige Reynolds

The Davis senior has been quite the offensive spark plug for the Darts softball team. She is batting .490 with 28 stolen bases for the No. 3 ranked team in Class 5A. She also has scored 19 runs and knocked in 11, including two in her team's win over Viewmont on Tuesday.

Nicholson Garrett

The Corner Canyon senior helped lead the Chargers baseball team to a three-game sweep of Alta last week, including a 3-for-3 performance with three runs batted in and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-6 victory. He was batting .397 with 20 runs scored and 17 RBIs entering Friday's win.

Beau Pederson

The Park City junior scored 47 goals in the Miners' first 16 games as the boys' lacrosse team got off to a 13-3 start. He also added 43 assists to average 5.625 points per game for the Miners, who have not lost to an in-state opponent this season.

The goal differential for first-year boys' soccer program Skyridge. The Falcons have outscored opponents 29-7 to start 11-0-0 this season. They posted a 5-0 win at Timpanogos on Tuesday before prevailing 4-2 against Timpview on Friday.

The number of runs per inning the Grantsville softball team averaged in a pair of wins last week. The Cowboys scored 29 runs — 13 in a six-inning win over Stansbury on Tuesday and 16 in a three-inning win at Park City on Friday — in their two victories. The Cowboys are ranked No. 5 in Class 3A this week.

The number of strikeouts for Gunnison Valley pitcher Jaden Mayne in the Bulldogs' 1-0 win over Grand County in Class 2A baseball action Friday. Mayne went 6 1/3 innings for the win, allowing only four hits and one walk.
