Police at Salt Lake City International Airport arrested a passenger after a security officer found a loaded gun.

A news release from the Transportation Security Administration said a TSA officer found the gun during an X-ray screening about 9:15 a.m. in Terminal 2. Airport police were called and arrested the man, TSA said.

TSA did not specify whether it believes the passenger mistakenly packed the firearm or if it was something more sinister.
