We take time out from Utah State's football practice to give you a bit of hoops news.

Marcel Davis, the point guard recruit from American Fork High, was recently named the 27th best overall prospect on the west coast by ESPN.com.

Davis, who will play at USU along with high school teammate Quincy Bair, shined this summer with his Utah Pump N' Run AAU team, and was the lead guard on a crew that went to the semifinals of the Adidas Super 64, one of the best tournaments in the country.

Also, Jordan Loveridge, the 6-6 forward who recently cut the Aggies from his recruiting list, was named the 12th best overall prospect on the West Coast.

The top prospect was Shabazz Muhammad, who is the top overall prospect in the country, according to multiple recruiting services.
