Maria Liberati, best-selling author and culinary expert, will talk about her newest cookbook, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking, DaVinci Style, during two separate presentations on Sunday, Oct. 2.

At 2 p.m., she will give a multimedia presentation on her book at the Salt Lake City Main Library Auditorium, 210 E. 400 South.

At 5 p.m., she will offer a cooking demonstration at Tony Caputo's Market and Deli, 314 W. 300 South.

A former supermodel, Liberati has been called the "Italian Martha Stewart" and is considered an expert on Italian cuisine and culture. She is in Salt Lake City as part of the 14th annual Utah Humanities Book Festival.
